A broadcast allows you to send a message to all subscribers in one of your lists.

Overview:

A broadcast allows you to send a message to all subscribers in one of your lists.

As soon as you click send, and confirm, the message will be queued and sent right away, normally within a few seconds.

There's no need to specify which messaging service you want to send via, i.e. SMS, or FB Messenger or anything else. The platform will automatically send using whatever service your subscribers want to use. It's magic.

If you have created variables for your subscribers, such as their first name, then you can use these within the text of the message. If you use a variable in a message and there's no associated information for a subscriber than the message will be sent with no variable data.

How to send a quick broadcast message:

  1. Log into your ubisend account, on the top navigation click "Broadcast"
  2. On the page that opens on the left-hand side, choose the list to which you want to broadcast a message to.
  3. Compose your message in the box below. If you're sending via SMS the message will be automatically split into smaller messages if you exceed 160 characters. If this happens you'll be charged for sending two messages.
  4. Choose whether you want to send the message immediately or schedule for a later time.
  5. If you choose to send the message immediately it will be queued and sent as soon as possible, normally within a few seconds.
  6. If you choose to send the message later then a few more options will appear.
    1. Choose the time zone of the country where the majority of your subscribers live. The message will be sent according to their time zone, not yours.
    2. Choose a date in the future you'd like the message to be sent.
    3. Choose what time of that date you'd like the message to be sent - being aware of the time zone option in a. above.
  7. Click Send, read the popup and then hit confirm. Your broadcast has been sent. Congratulations!
